We take the Sea to Sky Highway in a reverse direction starting of at
Highway 97 and ending in Vancouver. The highway is 409 km long
and crosses the Coast Mountains passing Lilooet, Pemberton and
Whistler. It takes us along the Fraser River Canyon, beautiful Duffey
Lake and Joffre Lakes and Mountains. South of Whistler we will meet
the sea at Howe Sound and drive on to Vancouver to spend our last
night at Burnaby Cariboo R.V. Park and Campground before we fly
back with KLM to Amsterdam on the 3rd of July 2010.
We nemen de Sea to Sky Highway in omgekeerde richting startend
vanaf Highway 97 en eindigend in Vancouver. De weg is 409 km lang
en gaat door de Coast Mountains langs Lilooet, Pemberton en
Whistler. We komen langs de Fraser River Canyon, het mooie Duffey
Lake en Joffre Lakes met z’n bergen. Ten zuiden van Whistler komen
we aan zee bij de Howe Sound en rijden naar Vancouver om daar
onze laatste nacht door te brengen op Burnaby Cariboo R.V. Park
and Campground voordat we op 3 Juli 2010 weer met KLM terug
vliegen naar Amsterdam.
From Clearwater Higway 5 takes
us south to Litlle Fort and from
there Highway 24 takes us west
to 97 Mile House on Highway 97.
South from there is the start of
the Sea to Sky Highway 99.

Whistler is of course known as a
ski-resort and town for the Olympic
Winter Games 2010. East of
Whistler is Garibaldi Provincial
Park with its spectular mountains.
