The Alaska Highway runs from Dawson Creek in British Columbia
through the Yukon Province and to Delta Junction in Alaska USA. The
highway is about 2.200 km long. We will start in near Watson Lake
and drive south-west just north of Fort St. John where we take
Hiighway 29 west to Hudson’s Hope. The Alaska Highway passes
great scenery. Several provincial parks are on the route like Muncho
Lake and Liard River Hotsprings. At Summit Lake is the highest point
of the highway at 1.295 meter.
De Alaska Higway loopt van Dawson Creek in British Columbia door
de provincie Yukon naar Delta Junction in Alaska USA. De weg is
ongeveer 2.200 km lang. Wij starten bij Watson Lake en rijden zuid-
westelijk naar net ten noorden van Fort St.John en nemen daar
Highway 29 naar het westen naar Hudson’s Hope. De Alaska
Highway gaat door een prachtig landschap. Op de route liggen een
aantal provinciale parken zoals Muncho Lake en Liard River
Hotsprings. Bij Summit Lake ligt het hoogste punt van de weg op

Along the Alaska Highway you
can see a great variety of wildlife.
You can meet bison herds,
cariboo and mountain goats both
aside and on the higway itself.

Liard River Hotsprings are the
second largest hotspring in
Canada. There are two hot springs
with water temperatures ranging
from 42° C to 52° C.
