The Northern Rocky Mountains are between Jasper National Park in
Alberta and the Liard River near Fort Nelson on the Alaska Highway.
On the westside runs the Fraser River. Main attractions are Mount
Robson but also skiresorts like Valemount. Their are many Provincial
Parks for great scenic views and wildlife. The Yellowhead Highway 16
runs from the border of Alberta and British Columbia on the westside
of the Rockies north to Prince George. Highway 5 takes you south to
Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park.
De Noordelijke Rocky Mountains strekken zich uit tussen Jasper
National Park in Alberta en de Liard rivier bij Fort Nelson aan de
Alaska Highway. Aan de westzijde stroomt de Fraser rivier.
Belangrijke attracties zijn Mount Robson maar ook ski-oorden als
Valemount. Er zijn veel Provinciale Parken met mooi uitzicht en wilde

Mount Robson is truly one of the
crown jewels. At 3.954 metres,
Mount Robson, is the highest
peak in the Canadian Rockies,
and towers over the lesser high
surrounding peaks.

The Fraser River runs from the
slopes of Yellowhead Pass north
west to Prince George and then
south to Vancouver. It is the
longest river of BC with 1.375 km.
